Very cool idea! I think we should set up a series of developer services
at TJ. This could include source code checking, applet checking, GUI
testing and development, and always suggestions from experts...
Any active member of any of the teams can call upon those services
in a time of need... Perhaps we should have some system whereby
users can earn credits to be applied towards services, or they
could purchase them with cash...
Just some thoughts
: I've helped (or tried) many members writing me about checking
: their applets out, to try and track down when/why they break.
: As a consultant, I know there are those times when we are in
: a Big Hurry to track down and fix a problem. Many of you don't
: have all configs (unix/xterm/mac/Win95/NT) to check things out
: on, but also would like to verify all is well before delivering.
: So, I suggest we set up a "Fast-Response" team, that when called,
: would asap chk out a page (and maybe via applet viewer) when a
: member is in a crisis. Of course, only members part of this
: "sub-team" could call upon this service...
: Any thots?
